Crafting and Learning Fun

Some of what's been happening around here.  It took me a little over a month to finish this horse hat for my daughter. My crafting comes in my spare time which lately I haven't had too much of. ;-) My sweet princess picked out yarn colors and buttons.  I would have gone a different direction with the colors, but I aim to please the one who will be wearing it.
This outfit was a fun one.  I made the pants first, more out of necessity than desire. I love how they turned out. I altered a pattern which was a huge pain in the end, because apparently my math was off somewhere. I made the shirt just the other day after finding I had just enough leftover flannel.  I love the embroidered applique hearts. I think my favorite thing about this outfit (more than than how adorable it turned out) is that it was all leftovers and just enough fabric. That means free minus my time of course.
We recently had a field trip to our local newspaper.  The kids had a blast. I love how they are taking and comparing notes.  Isn't that just too cute?
We also went to Pioneer Day at a local park.  This was lots of fun.  I can't wait to go again next year.
Climbing trees and candle making.

Basket making

Rag doll making. Roochie made a cowboy. ;-)
